Peaceful Pleasure Tea

This tea came together because I wanted something uncomplicated and kind. A gentle, easy-to-sip herbal tea that almost anyone could enjoy, whether they’re already fond of herbal blends or just beginning to explore them. I wasn’t chasing a specific symptom or trying to make something “effective.” I wanted a cup that felt pleasant, steady, and welcoming.

Peaceful Pleasure Tea is exactly that. It’s soft without being bland, calming without being sleepy, and simple enough to make from herbs many people already keep on hand.

Lemon balm forms the heart of the blend. It brings a light, lemony brightness and a familiar ease that helps the nervous system soften without feeling altered. Raspberry leaf adds body and balance, giving the tea a grounded, nourishing feel that keeps it from floating away into sweetness alone. Lavender flowers are used sparingly, just enough to add floral warmth and a sense of calm without turning the cup perfumey or overpowering.

This is the kind of tea that works just as well in the middle of a busy afternoon as it does in the evening. It doesn’t demand anything from you. It simply offers a moment of comfort.

I like this tea best steeped a little longer than average—about seven to ten minutes. That extra time allows the flavor to round out fully and gives the herbs a chance to settle into each other.

Blend Ratio

2 parts lemon balm
2 parts raspberry leaf
½ part lavender flowers

Blend gently and store in an airtight container away from light.

How to Prepare

Use about one tablespoon of the blend per cup of hot water. Cover while steeping and allow to infuse for seven to ten minutes. Strain and enjoy as is, or with a touch of honey if you like a little sweetness.

A Few Gentle Notes

This tea isn’t meant to fix or correct anything. It’s meant to be enjoyed. It’s a good choice for sharing, for quiet moments, or for those days when you want something soothing but still fully present.

Sometimes pleasure is reason enough.
