Big John’s Beard Oil
Big John’s Beard Oil is a straightforward, no nonsense grooming oil designed to keep both beard and skin comfortable. It absorbs well, softens coarse hair, and leaves a clean, grounded scent that feels steady rather than showy.
I originally made this for my friend John, who works in a lumber mill. A wood forward scent felt like the obvious choice, and thankfully, he agrees. The blend fits his work, his environment, and his preferences so well that it earned a permanent place in his routine, which is about the highest compliment a practical product can get.
Jojoba oil forms the base of this blend. It closely mimics the skin’s natural oils, making it especially well suited for beard care. It conditions the hair without leaving it greasy and helps keep the skin underneath from feeling dry or irritated.
Cedarwood leads the scent with a dry, woody note that feels familiar and honest. Lavender softens the blend, adding balance without turning it floral. Frankincense brings depth and warmth, rounding everything out and giving the oil a composed, well finished feel.
This is a beard oil meant for daily use. It is practical, reliable, and easy to reach for.

A Few Gentle Notes
A little goes a long way with this blend. Start small and adjust based on beard length and thickness. As with any topical product, a patch test is recommended before regular use.
Big John’s Beard Oil is not meant to be complicated. It is meant to work, smell good, and hold up in real life.
