Rose and Frankincense
This is one of those blends that never tries to be impressive and ends up being indispensable. Rose and frankincense together create a scent that feels grounded, calm, and quietly luminous. It is simple, balanced, and deeply versatile, which is exactly why I reach for it again and again in skin care preparations.
Frankincense makes up the majority of the blend and sets the tone. It brings warmth, depth, and a steadying presence that feels supportive to both skin and mood. Rose appears in a much smaller proportion, but its influence is unmistakable. It softens the frankincense, adds gentle floral warmth, and gives the blend a sense of care and refinement without tipping into perfume.
Together, these two oils create something that feels timeless. Not floral-forward and not resin-heavy. Just balanced, comforting, and quietly elegant.
This is a blend I use as a base in many skin care items, including facial oils, balms, and other topical preparations where I want the scent to feel nurturing rather than distracting. It supports the experience of care without overpowering it.

8 parts frankincense essential oil
1 part rose essential oil
Blend thoroughly and store in a dark glass bottle away from heat and light.
How I Use It
I work with scent blends across many forms, depending on the moment and the space. This blend is most often used as a component in skin care, diluted appropriately in carrier oils or incorporated into balms and creams. It can also be used sparingly as a personal scent or in oil burners or diffusers when a calm, centered atmosphere is desired.
