Don’t Panic
This blend is called Don’t Panic, a name borrowed with affection from a very specific cultural touchstone. I used to pair it with a smiling reminder to keep perspective, and the spirit of that image still lives here. Don’t Panic is about steadying the moment when everything feels just a little too loud.
This is not a sharp or directive blend. It does not try to snap you out of anything. Instead, it creates a sense of quiet reassurance, like a hand on your back reminding you to breathe and keep going.
Lavender makes up the larger portion of the blend, bringing its familiar calm and gentle softness. It helps smooth the nervous system without flattening it. Frankincense adds depth and presence. Its resinous warmth gives the blend a grounded quality that feels composed and steady. The rose tincture carries everything together, adding a subtle floral warmth and an emotional softness that makes the blend feel kind rather than clinical.
Together, these elements create a scent that feels centering and supportive. It is especially useful in moments of low-grade panic, spiraling thoughts, or emotional overload, when what is needed most is a sense of steadiness rather than stimulation or sedation.

How I Use It
I work with scent blends across many forms, depending on the moment and the space. Don’t Panic works well as a lightly applied anointing oil or personal scent, especially during stressful moments or transitions. It can also be used in oil burners or diffusers in small amounts to gently steady a room.
Each form brings out something slightly different, and I enjoy letting a blend move between them rather than fixing it to a single use. For a fuller explanation of how I work with scent across forms, you can read more here.
A Few Gentle Notes
This blend benefits from subtlety. A light application allows the frankincense and rose to do their quiet work without overwhelming the lavender. It is meant to reassure, not dominate.
Don’t Panic is not about eliminating fear or stress. It is about creating enough calm to remember that you are still here, still capable, and still moving forward.
